Disability Access Rights was founded through firsthand experience navigating the complexities, frustrations, and challenges of the education system.
Over time, we developed critical insight through years of advocacy—reviewing records, analyzing data, and understanding how systems operate in practice. Like many families, we initially trusted the process. That trust shifted as gaps in transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making became clear.
These experiences reinforced an important reality: families should not have to rely on trial and error to understand how to advocate effectively for their child.
Disability Access Rights exists to share knowledge—so that families are better informed from the outset, equipped with the tools to ask the right questions, interpret data, and ensure that educational decisions are appropriate, measurable, and aligned with each student’s rights.
Our principles are grounded in the belief that access to education is not optional—it is a fundamental legal right—and that families deserve clarity, honesty, and meaningful participation throughout the process.
